Ben Peterson

Peterson’s current work consists of ceramic sculptures fired and painted to resemble archeological objects, or fragments of architecture. He has a BFA from the California College of the Arts, San Francisco, CA, and a MFA from Stanford University. Peterson’s works are found in numerous public and private collections including the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York, NY, the Indianapolis Museum of Art, Indianapolis, IN, and the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art, Philadelphia, PA. He is the recipient of the Pew Fellowship, and has been an artist in residence at the Headlands Center for the Arts, Sausalito, CA, as well as Ujazdowski Castle in Warsaw, Poland. *Artist biography at time of award.
